Channel Sales Intern

Reporting to the Director of Channel Sales and Programs, Akamai is seeking an intern who would like to work within a fast-paced environment and be surrounded by an outstanding team of highly motivated individuals. This role would be perfect for a student that is interested in learning more about high tech sales, marketing or product management. This particular team is growing very quickly, has a tremendous amount of opportunity and can use the help of a young, intelligent, motivated “go getter” that wants to learn the ins and outs of this industry. Candidate can expect to leave the internship with increased knowledge about the Internet, Software, Hardware, Internet Security, Digital Media, Application Acceleration, Cloud Computing, ecommerce and Content Delivery. They can also expect to learn a great deal about enterprise sales, value selling, strategic marketing and selling though reseller partners.
Responsibilities:
- Help manage lead generation campaigns with reseller partners
- Assist the Director and Sales Manager with daily sales and marketing related tasks
- Help coordinate seminars and other marketing events for customers and partners
- Basic data entry
- Help arrange and execute training programs for reseller partners
- Creation of PowerPoint slides and other materials
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing or other related fields
