About the Job

The Senior Program Manager will help manage projects within the Media Product Division as well as coordinate cross-functional efforts across multiple product and operations divisions within Akamai. Your responsibilities will include managing projects that improve network performance, reduce network costs, and enhance overall reliability.

About the Team

Our Media Platform Optimization Team is an elite group of highly skilled and motivated technologists who measure, analyze, and improve our system design and implementation. They are generalists with deep technical understanding, both of software and the Internet, who enjoy taking a holistic view of complex systems.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities
- Driving, tracking and reporting on cost savings and efficiency projects within the Media Division.
- Supporting , Project Managers from other divisions.
- Coordinating other inter- and cross-departmental projects.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical or management discipline.
- 2-5 years experience in technical project management or related role.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, flexible individual who is interested and excited about the internet and technology.

Additional requirements include:
- Proven leadership, organization, and planning skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp new and unfamiliar technical concepts quickly.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to work independently.
