Overview:This is an opportunity to work with Akamai’s Network Services Capacity Planning Team, which plays a lead role in establishing and managing Akamai’s capacity plans for all of the major countries, network providers and Akamai Services throughout the globe.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Data Modeling & Analysis Intern will be to mine, compile and provide analysis of data related to Akamai’s existing deployments which will result in tools for strategic decision making and dashboards to monitor tactical maneuvers.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to collect and interpret data from multiple database sources.
- Ability to compile data and/or create reports to communicate trends and data inconsistencies.
- Motivation to learn and work in a changing environment
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the responsibilities in scope.
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to create clear and concise documentation and datasheets.
- Clear communications skills, good business judgment and organizational skills required
- Exhibits strong ethical behavior
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with SQL and other reporting tools
- Experience with HTML, PHP a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Basic understanding of Network Interconnection a plus.
