About the Job
Akamai is seeking a seasoned Financial Systems Analyst II with strong Hyperion skills and a complimentary finance background. The Financial Systems Analyst II will be a key member of the Finance Profitability team jointly sharing responsibility for all aspects of Hyperion with the current Hyperion Administrator. In addition, this individual will assist in the design and creation of Essbase calculation scripts, business rules and reports to support both the Corporate Finance and Business Unit Finance teams.

About the Team
The Global Business Operations organization is comprised of several functions that produce as well as report against key operating metrics for the business. The team supports both internal and external reporting of financial data across sales geographies, business units and the company as a whole.

The Finance Profitability team calculates and reports Akamai’s global profitability results, the Bookings and Sales Compensation team administers commissions and bonus plans worldwide and the Reporting Center of Excellence provides the “single source of truth” to support Akamai’s global sales, finance and product organizations. The team is comprised of experienced business and financial analysts as well as a technical team responsible for the systems used by the organization.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure timely execution, support and maintenance of Hyperion applications in conjunction with the FP&A team to comply with internal/external deadlines (e.g. monthly/quarterly reporting, budget/forecast activities.). Participate in the configuration and development of new reporting applications and tools.
* Develop and maintain customer and product based analysis tools used to perform detailed profitability analysis by product line and sales geography.
* Assist, support and/or provide direction relating to application maintenance including: cost center structure, account maintenance, tree hierarchy and alternate hierarchy maintenance.
* Perform complex report development and provide guidance and training to support ad hoc requests.
* Participate in requirements gathering and assist in translating business needs into best practice solutions.
* Foster effective and timely communication between IT, Finance, and key stakeholders.
* Author complex calculation scripts & business rules based on requirements.
* Keep the application up to date by working with IT to test and apply patches and upgrades.
* Implement best practices to ensure optimal utilization of the application.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, MIS, Finance, Business or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing and architecting solutions using ESSBASE and/or Hyperion Planning.
* Minimum 2 years of Accounting/Finance experience with focus on budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

Desired Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience designing calculation scripts, implementing business rules and supporting Essbase applications.
* Demonstrated ability to scale the application, securely and with appropriate controls in a Sarbanes Oxley environment.
* Experience with Oracle OBIEE and general business intelligence knowledge.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
* Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
* Experience in communicating with business partners at all levels, from analysts to executive level.
