About the Job
As a Field Channel Manager, you will be responsible for market development, product evangelism, and partner enablement in the newly launched Cisco and Akamai Alliance. This forward-thinking channel sales representative will be responsible for enabling the Cisco salesforce to sell OEM and resell-based Akamai offerings. As OEM is a new route to market, this individual will need to be forward thinking and creative, a passionate evangelist, and willing to wear multiple hats beyond sales enablement to ensure team success.
About the Team
This team will support Cisco channel strategy and sales enablement globally, including significant focus on the US, Western Europe and Australia.
Responsibilities:
* Exceed revenue target expectations by creatively driving Cisco sales through successful sales cycles.
* Help develop joint value proposition between Cisco and Akamai WAAS and iWAN clients.
* Develop materials for and lead training sessions for Cisco’s sales centers nationwide.
* Engage sales reps at Cisco to ensure that they have the information and motivation required to successfully introduce Akamai products into their clients, including the necessary to pursue and qualify opportunities independently.
* Work closely with the extended team at Cisco and Akamai to develop new programs to target Cisco customers across the United States.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
* Education: Bachelors Degree.
* Minimum 5 years experience of direct or channel technology sales experience.

* You thrive when given the opportunity to grow a new business with a partner, and can set and execute on a multi-year growth strategy with the partner.
* Experience selling to and/or partnering with Cisco.
* Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Knowledge of how Akamai’s technology, coupled with third-party technologies, leveraged to solve application delivery, security and performance challenges.
* Specialized knowledge of WAN acceleration technology, managed services, business application networking environments, data networking security and performance based solutions.
