About the Job
The Senior Designer will be a key team member responsible for developing creative, on-brand solutions for internal and external digital marketing materials. This fun and creative team member will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and executing compelling designs that continuously evolve and support the brand strategy, including all digital assets, web pages, online ads, videos and interactive displays. The ability to be a team player is a vital aspect of this role, the position will require working closely with the team to develop and mentor successfully translating creative and business messaging into compelling visual designs. This motivated and creative professional will serve as a brand champion and advocate across the organization, ensuring all deliverables are created and aligned with Akamai branding standards.
About the Team
The Creative team brings the Akamai brand to life. The team is responsible for creating and evolving the visual brand language to elevate the our brand. The team ensures consistency across the globe while providing flexibility for localization. We do this by partnering with our cross industry peers executing on integrated communication campaigns, internal and external corporate communications and events, social media, video, online programs, and thought leadership campaigns.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in and lead the creative process by presenting well-developed creative from concept to creation.
* Develop, evolve, and design compelling visual communications materials that support the brand strategy.
* Collaborate with multiple key stakeholders to drive creative and communication excellence.
* Maintain and push forward the look and feel of the Akamai brand as it applies to all our material.
* Partner with and manage external agencies and vendors in the development and production of Akamai-branded materials.
* Raise the design standards across the creative team while simultaneously elevating the brand.
* Mentor design staff.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
* Education: Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, Graphic Arts, Design, Communications or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a design-related field.
Desired Qualifications
* Proficiency in Adobe.
* Your portfolio is robust, impressive and includes working samples.
* Experience in an agency, design studio or corporate setting.
* Creative thinker, able to brainstorm concepts and execute assigned projects.
* Familiar with HTML and HTML5, including use of new elements.
* Ability to maintain productivity in an environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
* Self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
